Teeth whitening is apt for people having healthy teeth and gums with no fillings and other restorations. This is because these chemicals can produce side effects which may be harmful for the mother and the baby.

People who are suffering from the problem of sensitive teeth or are allergic to the ingredients present in the teeth whitening agents must also stay away from these treatments. People who have undergone restoration or someone whose gums are receding must consult their dentists before using these products or undergoing such treatments.

Individuals who are suffering from gum disease or have exposed roots or withered enamel must also avoid these treatments. In case of cavities get them treated first before undergoing any such treatment.
